Function
The functions of the Board include inter alia (i) awarding of scholarships to candidates of the state studying or intending to study in institutions of higher education both within and outside Nigeria (ii) formulating, reviewing/initiating programmes on the award of scholarships and determining the financial programme of the Board.
Funds and resources of the Board consists of all monies granted by the Government of the State or Local Government for student allowances; contribution from charitable organizations, foundations or individuals; sale of scratch cards for on-line application, etc.
